Mark, a cocky 17-year-old, enters a local demolition derby with a car called Rochelle: the very same car in which his best friend took his own life. To do so, he seeks the help of a mechanic called Jazz, the sister of his late best friend.

Tom Furniss è scrittore e regista della versione australiana dello spettacolo di successo internazionale “Taskmaster”. È stato nominato due volte al Billy T Award comico, il più importante premio comico della Nuova Zelanda. Il suo primo lungometraggio “The Mountain” è uscito nel marzo 2024 ed è stato prodotto da Taika Waititi. Il suo secondo, “The Canyon”, è attualmente in post-produzione e vede protagonisti Bella Thorne e Mel Gibson. Il suo più precedente cortometraggio, “Rustling”, è stato presentato in decine di festival internazionali tra cui il Tribeca Film Festival, il Palm Springs Int. ShortFest, il Melbourne Int. Film Festival e il POFF Tallinn Nights.

Tom Furniss is a writer and director of the Australian version of the internationally successful show “Taskmaster”. He has been nominated twice for the Billy T Award for comedy, New Zealand’s most prestigious comedy award. His debut feature film, “The Mountain”, was released in March 2024 and was produced by Taika Waititi. His second feature, “The Canyon”, is currently in post-production and stars Bella Thorne and Mel Gibson. His previous short film, “Rustling”, has been screened at dozens of international festivals, including the Tribeca Film Festival, the Palm Springs International ShortFest, the Melbourne International Film Festival and POFF Tallinn Nights.
