César ha 12 anni quando sua sorella maggiore Lou è vittima di violenza sessuale. Schermitore, nello spogliatoio del suo club l’unico standard che conta è la violenza. César vuole sembrare all’altezza, ma forse non è ancora pronto per le sfide che si apprestano ad arrivare.

César is 12 years old when his older sister Lou is sexually assaulted. A fencer, in his club’s changing room the only standard that matters is violence. César wants to appear up to the task, but perhaps he is not yet ready for the challenges that lie ahead.

Dopo aver scoperto il cinema attraverso alcuni progetti autoprodotti nella sua regione natale, la Bretagna, Violette Gitton si trasferisce a Parigi dove dirige CE QUI APPARTIENT A CESAR. Per la storia attinge alla sua esperienza come animatrice turistica ed educatrice, attività che che persegue parallelamente alla scrittura. Violette sta attualmente sviluppando un documentario per Arte Radio e pensando al suo esordio nel lungometraggio.

After discovering cinema through several self-produced projects in her native Brittany, Violette Gitton moved to Paris where she directed CE QUI APPARTIENT A CESAR. She draws on her experience as a tourist guide and educator, activities she pursues alongside her writing. Violette is currently developing a documentary for Arte Radio and considering her feature film debut.
